Where is my data stored?
In a local database on your device. With Seedex+, you can optionally back it up to Google Drive as well.
Does it work offline?
Core features like recording, browsing, and studying vocabulary work offline. AI-assisted features such as meaning explanations require an internet connection.
Can I use my own AI API key?
Yes — with Seedex+, BYOK lets you register an Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI API key and use it directly. There’s no monthly cap on BYOK usage, and requests go straight to the provider you chose rather than through the Developer’s servers.
How much can I do for free?
Core features — recording words, OCR, audio playback, export and import — are all free to use (with ads shown). AI features require Seedex+.
Is there a free trial?
Seedex+ comes with a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. Cancel during the trial and you won’t be charged; after 7 days, the monthly subscription starts automatically.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from the subscription settings in Google Play or the App Store. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Can I move my data to a new device?
With Seedex+’s Google Drive backup, just sign in on the new device to restore everything. On the free plan, you can export a backup file from Settings and import it on the new device.
Does it work for languages other than English?
AI explanations of meanings and examples are generated in whichever target language you set. The app interface itself is available in Japanese and English.
How do I delete my data completely?
Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your device. If you signed in with Google, the in-app account deletion feature also removes your Drive backup and revokes the app’s access.
